Advanced Geomatics has an immediate job opening for a Survey Technician. The right person must be self-motivated, energetic, versatile, and possess an aptitude and physical ability to perform both office and field work. Experience is not required but is a benefit.
At Advanced Geomatics, you will receive comprehensive training in the technology and skills required to perform the role of Survey Technician. You will have the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of the daily workings of a small company and develop a thorough professional understanding of the surveying process.
As a survey technician at Advanced Geomatics, you would be assisting our professional surveyors and experienced survey staff in various field and office survey duties including topographic, property, road design, hydraulics, and structure surveys. If you enjoy the outdoors, do not mind hard work, and have an interest in mathematics and learning new technology, this is the job for you.

- Assist in conducting land surveys using advanced surveying equipment and software
- Prepare maps and reports using CAD and other software
- Maintain accurate records and data for use in reports and legal documents
- Perform fieldwork and data collection using GPS equipment, total stations, and other instruments
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
- Follow established safety procedures and protocols
- Maintain and operate sophisticated survey equipment
- Perform quality checks and calibrations
- Must follow safety protocols and demonstrate concern for the safety of others
- Valid driver's license
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Mathematical aptitude
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction
- Ability to work outdoors in hash weather conditions
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50lbs
