Land Division

The process of land division can involve the creation of new boundary lines, the re-establishment of existing boundary lines, and the identification of any existing easements or encumbrances on a piece of property. A surveyor may need to take into account any zoning or land use regulations that apply to the property.

Once the survey is complete, new parcels are assigned unique parcel numbers and are legally recorded with the appropriate county or local government agency. This enables the parcels to be bought and sold independently, and allows for the separate development of each parcel.
